for the Roses
NEW LOCATION----REGISTRATION, RACE, BREAKFAST, AND AWARDS ALL LOCATED AT THE AMES MIDDLE SCHOOL
Proceeds from Run for the Roses go to fund Arthritis
Research Grants. This year's race will be on Sunday, October 12,
2008.
Purpose of
Race and Walk
To provide a quality event to all participants, to promote the
Ames Area Running Club and to raise funds for Arthritis Research
grants.

The new Ames Middle School on Mortensen Road (see map) Your race number is
your breakfast ticket; guest tickets are $4 each.

Awards:
Awards given to first male and female finishers and the
top three finishers in each age division in the 5K and 10K. MANY
DOOR PRIZES GIVEN AT BREAKFAST!

and medical costs.

Research is the favorite philanthropy of AOII and they have
been donating to this cause since 1967.
- Over $1
million has been given by AOII nationwide to Arthritis
Research since 1967 to find a cure for this crippling disease.
- The money
raised by this race goes in the name of AOII directly to
Arthritis Research Grants. There are no administrative costs.
- Since the
inaugural year of this race, in 1987, Ames Area Running Club
and AOII have contributed $98,900 to Arthritis Research
grants. Your participation in this event is helping to make a
difference.
